SAFARI GREETINGS!
After two years of extraordinary challenges, 2022 seemed to of whizzed by in a blur of excitement and activity, as we welcomed our treasured guests on our safaris of Sub-Saharan Africa. With the global tourism industry firing on all cylinders once more, it has been heartwarming to see our favoured areas bustling with tourists again, travellers experiencing the incredible landscapes and wildlife, history, art, food and hospitality of which we are so proud.
Bruce & his family took some time out in October to visit Madagascar (Africa’s version of the Galapagos and the 4th largest island). A diverse destination indeed which allowed us to focus on the various endemic lemur species in unspoilt forests.
Accommodation standards have certainly risen today and the highlight was spending a week on a separate island off the mainland called Miavana (miavana.com). Like the Seychelles, a great stop-off after a safari to take in the luxury of your private island.

The quintessential Delta experience is unfolding at the new North Island Okavango camp in Botswana. This high-end camp is opening in June 2023 and is situated in the North West of the Okavango near the Duba Plains and Vumbura concessions.
With only 3 premier tents on one private island and a hive of year-round activities, this is certainly a haven for our safari connoisseurs. We look forward to sharing it with you!

It’s time for an adventure as we follow the call of Africa.
Looking forward to hosting you back on African soil in the near future and here is to a splendid 2023 year.
African Regards
Bruce and the Bukela team
